Test Manager
OPPORTUNITY:
Sentaca is undergoing significant growth. An opportunity has arisen in our Test Services Division for a Test Manager based in our Slough (UK) Office. The Test Manager will report directly to the Test Practice Manager and will be a key member of the team responsible for end to end mobile network solutions and verifies that deliveries meet quality standards or deployment in the live networks. This position requires project testing ensuring the effective planning and execution of test cases in collaboration with the test team and other team members on the project. Some of the projects you will be involved in are multi-million pound fast paced products that need only the best resources ensuring we keep an excellent reputation within the market place.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Takes responsibility for all phases of testing and the management of the testing activities within a project.
- Develops and implementes the Test Strategy
- Identifying areas of risk
- Writing and executing test plans, maintaining and evolving test set and tools to enable functional low level and distributed testing across multiple products and technologies
- Coordinates testers and test activities during test phases on multiple projects
- Identifies improvements to the testing process and assists with implementation
- Manages all risks associated with the testing and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable.
- Provides authoritative advice and guidance to colleagues on any aspect of testing, including training for testers
- Plans, arranges and controls meetings and workshops related to testing
- Write documentation for test cases and defining test scenarios
- Execution Functional, non functional testing and regression testing
- Planning and coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Develop the Automation Test Strategy
- Coordinate Automation Testing
- Provide effective defect reporting, management and progression to ensure efficient replication, resolution and retesting of defects
- Regular test reporting to Senior Managers
- Manage and control the Test Environment
- Manage Test Data
- Issue Test Exit Reports based on findings and provide recomendation to stakeholders
- Gatekeeper for releases into Production
- Experience in client facing roles and managing suppliers/ 3rd parties
- Network testing, Web Application testing, Integration Testing
- Knowledge of test tools (Quality Centre, Test Director) and test delivery methodologies (ISEB, PRINCE 2 and Agile)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manual and automated testing
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands on experience of end to end testing
- Experience of Managing multiple testing projects and test teams
- Experience of writing and executing test plans
- Maintaining and evolving test sets and tools to ensure functional low level and distributed testing across multiple products and technologies
- Proven skills in hands on network and application testing
- Experience reviewing designs and documentation
- Experience defining test scenarios
