Online Support Analyst
OPPORTUNITY:
Sentaca is undergoing significant growth. An opportunity has arisen in our Managed Services Division for an Online Support Analyst in our Slough office in the UK. As an Online Support Analyst you will report directly to the Online Support Team Leader and will work as key member of the Online Support team providing 2nd line/back end support to corporate customers for various high profile web applications (e.g. online portals, online shops) on behalf of a large UK multinational.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Daily tasks will include:
- Troubleshooting and resolving web application issues.
- Monitoring and managing the internal fault management system.
- Liaising with vendors/suppliers and other support teams.
- Daily/weekly and monthly reporting on faults.
- Creating and implementing system optimization plans.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous IT support experience in a web environment (Support and configuration of Web Applications such as (Apache, WebLogic, Tomcat, Gigaspace, Liferay)).
- Strong Unix admin (linux, redhat, solaris) and networking diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP protocols.
- Excellent communication.
- Excellent organisation and ability co-ordinate multiple tasks at once.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Any experience in the Telecommunications industry.
- Scripting knowledge (Perl,shell).
- Knowledge of the following protocols: SMTP/POP/SNMP/LDAP/IMAP.
