Data Mediation Solution Goes Live

Sentaca is delighted to announce the launch of a data mediation solution developed on behalf of Acision to mediate Inter-Carrier SMS/MMS Traffic. Acision is a market leader in mobile data and providing enabling platforms for mobile data services. Sentaca was delighted to be commissioned to architect, design, test & deploy a data mediation solution to overcome conflicting encoding schemes and character set limitations experienced upon a set of devices resulting in subscribers receiving scrambled messages.  The Data Mediation consists of two SMPP Proxies. The first proxy manages the translations between encoding schemes for SMS traffic and the second SMPP proxy manages all MMSC to SMSC notification translations.

Acision’s Data Mediation platform is now live and trafficking upwards of 1.5 M messages per hour a figure set to grow significantly over the coming months. CTO Phil Cheetham says ‘ The mediation solution represents a strengthening element within Sentaca. It combines our deep technical knowledge, with an ability to deliver robust technical solutions of a carrier grade”.
